Contemporary Linear Whitework

This two-day workshop combines traditional techniques of pulled work, drawn thread work, surface stitching, eyelets, and fabric manipulation to create a contemporary sampler, using linen and cotton fabrics.

Embroidered & Embellished

Based on 18th century research, this two-day workshop involves working a design printed onto fabric ready to embroider and embellish. Techniques will include fine surface stitching, including burden stitch, long and short shading, fishbone stitch, couching, and applied metal and metallic threads.

Metal, Findings & Stitch

During the two-day workshop, we will be stitching and embellishing a bold design with a variety of stitches including seeding, running stitch, French knots, and couching a variety of threads and findings including paper clips, screws, curtain rings, as well as buttons beads and sequins, which can be used as a cover for a book, box top, ornate mini cushion, etc. 
Fee is £100.00.  
Material costs £10.00 - £15.00
