City and Guilds Embroidery and Design
At Fowlers Yard
With Julia Triston and Tracy A. Franklin

7922-08 - Embroidery and Design Certificate
Students will learn creative design techniques in fabric decoration, manipulation and construction producing five items along with a portfolio of experimental samples in both hand and machine work.

7923-012 - Embroidery and Design Diploma
Further study in both hand and machine embroidery, with students developing their own design work based on research. This will lead to producing a range of experimental samples and projects using contemporary and traditional techniques as well as studying historical and foreign embroidery.

The Course
These courses are run independently at Fowlers Yard for one day a week for two years with two experienced tutors. There will be five hours of tuition each day and you will also be expected to spend time developing your work at home. Both courses can be studied by correspondence if preferred.
