The Studio

Based in the heart of historic Durham City, by the banks of the River Wear, Fowlers Yard is where the artisans of Durham City reside working creatively within their studios.

Studio 3 is the base of Tracy A Franklin. Since August 2003, Tracy has occupied this creative space where she designs, stitches, makes, produces, sells, manages, teaches, promotes, conserves, restores, inspires, and enjoys all kinds of stitched textiles and embroideries.

Tracy has collected, sourced been inspired by so many things throughout her life and during her career, which is reflected in her studio, with the colourful pigeon hole wall of wool, her many books on techniques, design and inspiration, and her collections of old and new products.
