Silk work, long and short, silk shading, natural shading or painting with the needle, this technique can be worked with either silk threads or stranded cotton threads, within a flower, animal or more contemporary design.

One day workshop
The kit designed for this course will show how to work a simple flower design in stranded cotton, using three shades for the petals and two for the leaves, as well as introducing a French knot centre. All students will have started each element before the end of the class.

|
Two to three day workshop
A choice of set designs will be given for the students to select. More complex shading will be introduced into the design than that of the day course which will incorporate more colours for shading, and more technique whether shading flowers or animals or more contemporary ideas.
