Contemporary whitework uses all the elements of traditional whitework, including pulled work, drawn thread work, shadow work, cut work, Broderie Anglaise, Richelieu, and textural work, within contemporary design or by using different threads, fabrics, materials within techniques.

- One day workshop
In one day a student will learn three basic whitework techniques combined within a small design. The techniques can be linked to one white work tradition, or it can combine two different types. There are many possibilities and ideas!
- Two to three day workshop
Over two to three days a choice of designs will be given incorporating different stitch techniques with different whitework traditions. Students will learn how to transfer their design to fabric and work a design in the correct order, using their own imagination to combine techniques.
